Dancing Goat Sanctuary

Our sanctuary is our home, and vice versa!  Over the years we have opened our doors to many homeless, abused, neglected and unwanted animals here in rural Hawai'i.  Our current mission is to provide a forever  home for homeless, abandoned and abused goats.

We occasionally take in other farm animals. However, due to space considerations, the needs of our current animals, and personal experience, we do not accept dogs, cats, pigs, turkeys, chickens, non-domestic animals of any kind, or animals that are larger than 300 pounds.  We will help  individuals to connect with other rescue organizations or people that may be interested in adopting and rehoming these animals.

Outreach at our sanctuary is specific to goats, however, our education programs include responsible care of all of our animals - pigs, cats, ducks, chickens, goats...  whatever!   And, we get out the word about spay, neuter, and proper animal care to the entire community whenever we get the opportunity.  Our message here at the farm is overall responsible husbandry of the earth, and promotion of a more humane humanity.

We won't apologize, either, for our advocating for vegetarianism or veganism.  This practice is better for animals, better for the environment, and better for people.

We would like to increase our outreach to include assembly and donation of pre-constructed shelters for goats and sheep, and workshops at community events in the future.

About the Farm

Mele Maluhia, or "Song of Peace" is the name of the farm where our dancing goats reside.  Our 4 1/2 acre farm was previously a "Soil to Cup" coffee enterprise but is now dedicated to the animals.  We have 2 greenhouses where we organically grow a wide variety of greens. We are vegan so this is an important part of our farm.  We are always excited to share what is going on around the farm.  Visit us on social media, or our blog page to see what's up!
 What will my donation support?

Your tax deductible donation directly supports food, housing and supplies for the critters on the farm, education programs, or community outreach programs such as housing for goats or sheep who live without access to shelter.  If you would like your donation to go to a particular program, or critter, just let us know.  No humans get paid (monetarily, anyway) for their work on, or for, the farm.
